The second phase of the project will launch soon. It will provide will-writing, trusts and probate services. It is a unique proposition. In developing the services we have looked at legal products that advisers use but decided we should do more.WE ARE PLANNING:A Bereavement Service to assist relatives of the bereaved. If the will is stored with one of our legal providers, this service is not chargeable when the bereaved need it.Will writing, coupled with pre-paid funeral plans and pre-paid probate. This will allow SBG advisers to offer clients the ability to ease the pain of loss for their relatives. Clients can organise their affairs and pay for it in advance. This bundle of products is extremely attractive as probate and funeral costs can take a sizeable percentage of the estate and costs have escalated fast. Buying non-regulated pre-paid plans enables clients to pay for these expensive items at today's prices. If the client only wants a will, that will be possible too.Trusts can be used innovatively to handle all manner of family circumstances. We have found, though, that there is quite a lot of uncertainty about their use. Therefore, we plan to place on our websites examples and case studies of where they can be used with links to other more detailed resources, where appropriate. We have searched extensively for the right partners. Our chosen partners will be able to accept referrals for most types of trusts; they have expertise in IHT mitigation, Charitable Trusts, Personal Injury Trusts, Vulnerable Persons Trusts, Asset Protection Trusts, Business Gift Trusts etc.We recognise that trusts are not the only answer however, especially when dealing with care requirements. We therefore have reviewed products and services and have reviewed SBG guidance on long term insurance and annuity for care products as well as investment product funding considerations. We explain local authority and NHS funding options and how in some instances trusts might benefit clients. These products will be exceedingly important in the future for clients and their families. An area that will be unique to SBG advisers is the ability to refer estate administration and probate work. We have agreed with our lawyers that when setting up trusts and administering trusts, the trustees will take account of the advice of the SBG adviser who made the referral. If an SBG Adviser refers a client's probate to our lawyers, they will be safe in the knowledge that the matters will be handled sensitively and professionally. We believe the executors and family will be in the hands of the best probate lawyers available. Once the probate process is close to completion, the probate firm will contact the SBG adviser to let him or her know the gifts and legacies are due to be paid. This will give the SBG adviser the opportunity to assist the beneficiaries to protect or invest their legacies. This will allow SBG advisers to advise future generations of a family about the wealth they have helped to generate and protect in the past. We have also launched our commercial service. If you have a commercial matter you need a lawyer to help you sell your practice, employ people, carry out commercial conveyancing or any commercial matter you just need to send an email to paul.lockyer@sesame.co.uk with details of the matter, a contact number and telephone number. The lawyers will arrange the rest.No other support company provides such comprehensive services for advisers and their clients in the UK. With these products, services and materials at your disposal and the great referral rates we have negotiated, we believe you will have the most compelling adviser proposition at your fingertips available in the UK today. THE SESAME BANKHALL LEGAL SERVICES PROPOSITION IS NOW JUST OVER SIX MONTHS OLDOver 200 SBG Adviser Firms are registered to use the conveyancing service and those using it are giving it excellent reviews.
