2012 will see the LTA continue to prioritise investment in participation through investment in places, people, programmes and promotion. With London hosting the Olympic and Paralympic games from July to September it is vital British Tennis makes the most of the buzz created by these events to promote tennis and help more people get involved. Investment in performance, major events and servicing British tennis will be maintained to ensure these areas of the sport are sustained and continuous improvement is made.Here are a few of the priority areas of work over the next 12 months to help more people play tennis...Promote the places, people and programmes to show how tennis is a fun, affordable, family sport, which is a great way to get fitIncrease the usage of existing courts by supporting the people who make tennis happen, developing quality programmes and supporting greater promotion of tennisInvest more in the people who will have the biggest impact on increasing participationGrow and make better use of British Tennis Membership as a way to communicate with, engage and reward tennis peopleContinue to support coaches through a series of workshops and a range of new and relevant toolsDevelop the most appropriate training and practical tools to support the delivery of high quality programmes35
