SOURCES OF INVESTMENT IN BRITISH TENNISThe LTA and the TF jointly invested over £69.5m in British tennis in 2011 (£65m in 2010). In order to grow and sustain the sport the LTA manages the generation of the income and use of reserves under a robust governance structure and takes a long term view of the need to develop the sport.Of the funds invested in any year the majority of the income is generated by the ongoing operating activities. The split of this income between the major revenue sources is shown here.As the national governing body for tennis in Great Britain, the LTA's financial goal is to support and increase income generation into the game so that it can be invested into growing and sustaining the sport. Investment expenditure is targeted within four main areas; Participation, Performance, Major Events and Servicing British tennis.
