500,000Rob DearingBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER"The technology team have been working on lots of different projects this year across all different areas of the game from supporting the development of performance players with online goal setting technology to giving tennis fans the opportunity to keep up with the latest British tennis news through a new mobile app.My personal highlight was working on the re-launch of LTA Mini Tennis, developing a new website to get more kids playing the game."Ellie CarrPUBLICATIONS MANAGER"The launch of British Tennis Quarterly has been a big focus of the last 12 months, the development of a publication focused on British tennis and designed to support and incentivise those involved in the sport, has proved challenging but very rewarding. Each issue provides information and case studies of best practise from across the sport and it's delivered free to every registered tennis venue, with British Tennis Members receiving a digital version. So far the feedback has been very positive with 45% of readers claiming to have played tennis or done some activity in the sport based on information in BTQ. It's great to see that we are having a positive impact on participation and the engagement people have with the sport, meaning it has been a successful first year for BTQ."SERVICING BRITISH TENNISNUMBER OF PAGE VIEWS THE AEGON BRITISH TENNIS EVENTS APP RECEIVEDTHE SUPPORTING TEAMEnsuring tennis people have a great quality of experience however they are involved in the sport is essential if British tennis is to grow. We have helped to support and guide referees and coaches through the improvements to the ratings system, planned the competition calendars and continue to ensure on a day-to-day basis that results are uploaded promptly and accurately. As well as looking after competition in our counties we have been working with clubs and places to play to better promote themselves, which we hope will continue to grow participation. We are heavily promoting the use of the LTA website, bulk British Tennis Membership signup and the new allplay website as a way of achieving this. My personal highlight for the year is the introduction of new adult tournaments in the county which have been exceptionally popular. Players from 18-60 are getting back into playing singles competitions for themselves in sanctioned LTA events outside of their regular club sessions. The feedback so far has been hugely positive and this will lay the foundations for a structured adult competition calendar in the new year."Jenny SmithSENIOR SERVICES HUB ASSISTANT"The British Tennis Services Team, also known as The Hub, has been working to provide top quality support and service for anyone and everyone involved in tennis. In 2011 the team has had over 75,000 phone conversations and exchanged over 25,000 emails with tennis people, giving advice on a range of issues across the sport. Some of the key areas that we've been involved in are the introduction of Places to Play Registration, signing people up to British Tennis Membership, providing advice and ticket sales in the Wimbledon ballot, ongoing support for competitions and the changes to the AEGON British Tennis Ratings system, as well as the promotion of the allplay campaign.I think our main accomplishment is thework we do day in, day out to help peopleget more involved in tennis and improve their experience, no matter what their involvement."SERVICING BRITISH TENNISOF PEOPLE SURVEYED PLAYED TENNIS AS A RESULT OF READING BTQPHONE CONVERSATIONS HANDLED DURING 201129
