Greeted by usherettes, we are swept into a world of glorious trinkets.DAKSSOMERSET HOUSE We get our first glimpse of SS12's seaside theme as we take our seats at Daks. A retro nautical montage plays on the big video screen while we munch our first sugar hit of the day.ASHISHSOMERSET HOUSE Heavy-duty boots stuffed with wild flowers finish this collection with a flourish (turn to page 21 for a behind-the-scenes look at the Ashish show).JAEGER LONDONSOMERSET HOUSE Jaeger London keeps it feminine with a super-chic collection inspired by the early 70s. We predict the boater hats and bow detailing will be an SS12 hit. HOUSE OF HOLLANDTHE DAIRY The FROW is packed with the usual celeb suspects as pastel punks walk the runway to a ska soundtrack. We love it - plastic fantastic. FASHION EASTHAUNCH OF VENISONCocosa is sponsoring emerging fashion talent at Fashion East this season. We are dazzled by James Long's jewelled, baroque dress, while our ears are pleasured by DJ Hanna Hanra's thumping beats. NICOLE FARHIROYAL HORTICULTURAL SOCIETYOur front row seats at Nicole Farhi give us a prime view of the stunning statement digitised prints. High security measures at the Royal Courts mean our bags are scanned on entry. MARY KATRANTZOUWATERLOO STATIONFrom the carnations lining the catwalk to the sculptural tin-can dress finale, this show is a resounding success. MEADHAM KIRCHHOFF WATERLOO STATIONFrothy tutus, baby doll make-up and glitterball pom-pom heels; at no other show do our eyes dart around so frantically, taking in every wonderful detail. DAVID KOMAWATERLOO STATIONSpace-age tribal prints and laser-cut leather bring pattern cutting into sharp focus. David Koma's first standalone show is a well-executed success.
