The total contribution to regional GVA of theindustry stood at an estimated £32,732m in 2010.The corresponding regional multiplier is 94.6% ofthe UK-wide multiplier, meaning that only about5.6% of the impact is felt outside the South East. . The construction sector accounted for 7.4% of totalworkforce jobs in 2011. This was as high as 7.6%during 2008-09..
