48LTA Player GuideLTA >Laura RobsonLaura announced herself on the international tennis scene when she won Junior Wimbledon in 2008 at the age of 14, becoming the youngest British player ever to win the tournament. In the same year she won the Sunderland $10k and played her first WTA main draw at Luxembourg. In 2009, Laura made the final of the Australian Open Juniors, the second round of Junior Roland Garros, the third round of Junior Wimbledon and the semi-finals of the US Open Juniors. This was also the year she made her senior Grand Slam debut, at Wimbledon. In 2010, the former world junior No.1 partnered Andy Murray to the final of the Hopman Cup and continued to make an impact at the junior Grand Slams, making the final of the Australian Open, the semi-finals of Wimbledon and the third round at the US Open. She reached the second round of qualifying for the Australian Open, played at Wimbledon and made the third round of qualies for the US Open. Away from the Slams, she qualified for the AEGON Classic, making the second round and also qualified for WTA events in Tokyo and Osaka. Laura suffered an injury at the 2011 Hopman Cup and was forced to miss her Fed Cup debut.
