Since last summer, the 19-year-old has been playing ITF tournaments in Europe and North America to help improve his ranking which hit a high of 1,358 at the end of last year. Dan, who is 5'6", won five of his six Futures titles in 2010, three of which were on home soil at Wrexham, Cumberland and Frinton which helped lift him to a year-end career high of 326. His ranking has risen even further in 2011 to 274 (April 2011) after a number of good performances in Asia and North America on the ITF circuit. Dan has played in the Wimbledon qualifying rounds in 2008, 2009 and 2010, reaching the second round in 2009. The week after, she won the U14 'Road to Wimbledon' title at The All England Club, the largest national junior grass court tournament in the country. In 2011, Freya has been competing abroad in Grade 1 Tennis Europe events as well as competing in her first ITF junior event in her home town.
