This policy was implemented from the 2008-09 academic year and since then students considered as ELQ have to pay a higher rate of tuition fee to cover the full cost of their programme of study. In 2012/13 the Barking & Dagenham College ELQ fee will be set at £7600. Student Finance England will not normally provide fee loans or grants for students studying an ELQ.
