Some are lower downnear the villages; others are perchedprecariously high up in the rocks, whereremote trails converge and where theviews are remarkable. Whilst some huts have embraced ourmore modern lifestyles in recent years(perhaps to the chagrin of the purists),many retain the thrill that inevitablycomes with 'kipping down' with onlybasic comforts in a rustic refuge, whichis high, remote and as close to nature asyou will get for quite some time.Sleeping accommodation ranges fromdormitories to private bedrooms and'lights out' is usually about 10.30pm.The food is good and reasonably priced, whilst the atmosphere is convivial andfriendly. If you would like to spend a night in amountain hut, we would be happy topropose an appropriate itinerary foryou, so that you can walk to the hut onone route and return to the village thefollowing day on another.
